Laser Electrical Ballarat was founded as Jenkins Electrics Pty Ltd by Paul Jenkins in 1961. Beginning as an apprentice to Paul, Robert Martin took over as managing director of Jenkins Electrics Pty Ltd in 1997. Robert has over 35 years experience with the company.
In 1996, Glenn Donald started as an apprentice and under Robert’s guidance went on to represent the company in the World Skills competition at the national level. In 2005, Glenn became a director of the business.
In 2005, Jenkins Electrics was invited to join the Laser Group due to our extensive experience and respected status in the electrical industry. Due to Laser’s superior systems, tools and business support, Jenkins Electrics accepted the opportunity to further grow the business in other sectors of the electrical market.
Since then, trading as Laser Electrical Ballarat, we have continued to grow as a leading electrical contracting business and have also expanded to include our own electrical engineering department to be able to offer complete automation solutions to our clients.
In 2013, Robert Martin chose to step down as director as he began the transition towards retirement. Glenn also took the opportunity to step down and focus more on family life. Zane Conroy, Brad Bright and Tony Rowe became the new directors of Laser Electrical Ballarat.
Zane Conroy has over 10 years experience with the business predominantly in a senior leadership role. Brad Bright continues the tradition set by Rob and Glenn by starting with the organisation as an apprentice and eventually becoming an owner of the business. Tony Rowe leads the electrical engineering division as senior engineer and has over 15 years experience in industrial automation.
Laser Electrical Ballarat looks forward to continuing to provide the exceptional levels of service and business partnerships we have become renowned for over the last 50 years.
